Unpaper Towels by Tabitha Eve
Have you ever thought about the amount of kitchen roll you use around the home? Mopping up spills, cleaning windows, drying rinsed veg, replacement for a napkin, it's uses are endless that it's actually scary to hazard a guess at the number sheets that are thrown away every single day?! But we put them in the recycling you say..........one recycling myth is that kitchen roll is regularly recycled.
A lot of kitchen roll is already made from recycled paper which means that it can't be recycled again, the fibres are too short resulting in poor pulp in the recycling process. In addition to this, as its use is usually for less than sanitary means, it won't even qualify for recycling!
That's why we love these lightweight unpaper towels made from single ply "birdseye" cotton which are designed to be absorbant. They come in packs of 5 and each towel is 9" square. They can do all the things that kitchen roll can do but unlike kitchen roll they won't end up in landfill as by popping them in with your regular machine wash, they can be used again and again!
